Adoptable Dog of the Week: Olive is Well Trained

She's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.

This week's adoptable pet is Olive, a brindle boxer mix who can follow commands.

Olive, a four-and-a-half year old spayed female, knows how to sit, rollover, stay down and follow other commands. She's smart and will walk right by your side. Olive has been with Manatee County Animal Services since Jan. 3, when she was picked up along i-75. You can visit Olive at the county's downtown adoption center today or next week. The expanded downtown adoption center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

This is a great month to adopt Olive. Manatee County Animal Services is offering a $50 adoption fee for dogs through April. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
