Adoptable Dog of the Week: Owen Will Make Your Heart Melt

He's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.

This week's adoptable pet is Owen, a cutel white and brown hound mix.

Owen a two year old neutered male needs a few minutes to get to know people. Once he feels safe he loves to give kisses. He has been with Manatee County Animal Services since Feb. 3, when he and another dog at animal services were picked up together. You can visit Owen at the county's downtown adoption center today or next week. The downtown center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday its new expanded facility.

March is a great month to adopt Owen. Manatee County Animal Services is offering a $30 adoption fee for dogs through the end of March. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
