Adoptable Dog of the Week: Roger is Full of Personality

This week's adoptable pet is Roger, a beautiful brindle German Shepherd mix.

Roger, a one year old neutered male, is full of personality and has an expressive face. Because he's still a puppy he can be a little michievious and would beneft from some obedience training. He's a happy dog who loves attention. He has been with Manatee County Animal Services since Nov. 21, when his family brought him into the shelter. You can visit Roger at the county's downtown adoption center next week or at the Palmetto adoption center for Animal Services. The downtown center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Palmetto location is open weekdays and also on Saturdays. The downtown center will get new hours later this month to include Saturdays.

March is a great month to adopt Roger. Manatee County Animal Services is offering a $30 adoption fee for dogs through the end of March. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
