Adoptable Dog of the Week: Wendy is a Real Winner

This week's adoptable dog is Wendy, a gorgeous Weimaraner who knows how to sit on command.

Wendy, a two year old spayed female, loves to play, but is also just as happy to snuggle. She will sit for a treat and loves to please. Wendy has been with Manatee County Animal Services since March 27, when she was picked up in Palmetto. You can visit Wendy at the county's downtown adoption center today or next week. The downtown adoption center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

This is a great month to adopt Wendy. Manatee County Animal Services is offering a $25 adoption fee for dogs through May for educators appreciation month. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
