Bradenton Gladiators Continue Their Winning Streak

The Bradenton team defests the Bay Area Warriors 24-6.

The Bay Area Warriors were short on players as they arrived on the Gladiators home field Saturday night nd it showed. The Bay Area Warriors (1-6) in AFC West Division were out muscled as they fell to the Gladiators 24-6. 

The Warriors, who are trying to re-organize after some internal problems, came to play with only 17 able-bodied players.

The Gladiators played strong both on offense and defense. Bonshavior Bean caught a touchdown pass in the first quarter. That was soon followed by Chauncey Jones' 6 yard rush touchdown, ending the first quarter 14-0. 

In the second quarter Philip Chaltis kicked a 23 yard field goal. Quarterback Aaron Dorsey brought in a 1 yard touchdown run ending the first half at Gladiators 24 Warriors 0. 

The Warriors scored their only touchdown 3 minutes into the third quarter with a 34 yard reception to David Brooks.  Their two point conversion attempt was blocked by Gladiator Darian Pratt. The fourth quarter was scoreless ending the game at 24-6, giving the Gladiators a 8-0 in the AFC West Division standings.

The Gladiators travel to Port Charlotte to take on the the Charlotte County Reign (1-7) next weekend.
