Bradenton Golf And Skate Board Facilities Reopen

BRADENTON, FL — Riverwalk Skate Park and River Run Golf Links have both reopened but visitors must continue to follow social distancing guidelines.

"River Run Golf Links is taking the necessary measures to make the golf course safe as we can," the facility announced on its website. "We are sanitizing steering wheels, upright braces on the golf carts every morning and throughout the day."

The Bradenton City Council voted unanimously earlier this week to reopen the skate park from 8 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.

The golf course has suspended bag drop services.

"We are sanitizing door knobs, handles and counters throughout the day,"officials said. "We have canceled serving hot foods in the microwave, candies, crackers and cups of ice water. Bottled water is available to buy."

Golf course employees are also wearing gloves and hand sanitizer has been placed on counters. The facility is only accepting credit cards and people must stand 6 feet apart in line to pay in the pro shop.

"We have taken tables away to help organize this. Players are being advised to leave flag stick in when putting," the facility said. "Every golfer must take their own cart, unless living in the same household."

River Run Golf Links is located at 1801 27th St. East. Call 941-708-8459 before visiting the golf course. The Riverwalk Skate Park is located at 100 Riverfront Blvd.
