Bradenton Man Killed Crossing Street

A 35-year-old Bradenton man was killed Thursday night as he attempted to cross State Road 70 on foot, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

BRADENTON, FL --A 35-year-old Bradenton man was killed Thursday night as he attempted to cross State Road 70 on foot, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. near 30th Street West.

Lt. Greg Bueno of Florida Highway Patrol said Christopher M. Jones was in an unmarked cross walk when he was struck by a 16-year-old driver.

The driver, identified as Tacoma Langsten, also of Bradenton, suffered only minor injuries. Langston was traveling east in the right lane of State Road 70 at the time of the incident approaching the intersection of 30th Street West.
