Arrest Made In Bradenton Stabbing

An arrest has been announced in the Monday night stabbing of a 27-year-old Bradenton man.

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest in a Monday night stabbing that left a 27-year-old Bradenton man injured. According to the agency, Pierre Warren, 24, was brought into custody on aggravated battery with a deadly weapon charges Tuesday afternoon.

The incident that led to Warren's arrest occurred around 11 p.m. June 5. Deputies say Andrew Diggers was at his home in the 4500 block of 26th Street West when Warren, his former roommate, showed up. The two, the sheriff’s office reported in an email to media, got into an argument outside the home.

Warren “pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim,” the email said. He then took off from the scene, authorities say.

Driggers was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a wound that is believe to be non-life-threatening.

Further information is not yet available. Deputies have not elaborated on the nature of the argument.
