​Bradenton Payless Robbery Suspect Sought By Deputies

Manatee County deputies are looking for a man accused of robbing a Bradenton Payless store Wednesday morning.

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a man accused of robbing a Payless store in Bradenton Wednesday morning.

According to the agency, the man entered the 641 Cortez Road W. Payless around 10:13 a.m. July 12. Once inside, the man demanded cash from an employee and implied that he was armed, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies say the man was given an undisclosed amount of cash and then took off from the store. Authorities say the man stands about 5-foot-7, has a slim build and is believed to be in his late 40s to late 50s. He has graying hair pulled into a ponytail and was last seen wearing a blue shirt, gray or denim pants and tennis shoes.
