BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is asking for help identifying a man accused of robbing a Payless store in Bradenton Wednesday morning. According to the agency, the man entered the 641 Cortez Road W. Payless around 10:13 a.m. July 12. Once inside, the man demanded cash from an employee and implied that he was armed, an email from the sheriff's office said. <hr />Get the <a href="https://patch.com/florida/bradenton/subscribe">Bradenton Patch newsletter and alerts in your inbox.</a> <hr />Deputies say the man was given an undisclosed amount of cash and then took off from the store. Authorities say the man stands about 5-foot-7, has a slim build and is believed to be in his late 40s to late 50s. He has graying hair pulled into a ponytail and was last seen wearing a blue shirt, gray or denim pants and tennis shoes. Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call the sheriff's office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
