Child Seriously Injured in Hit and Run Crash
Troopers are looking for couple who were in an older model Ford

The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a couple suspected of hitting a child on a scooter and then driving off after pulling the scooter out from under the car after dragging it for a short distance.
Terrence Gordan, 8, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with serious injuries.
According to an FHP report, an older, faded maroon-colored Ford was travelling on 4th Street East and Terrence was riding his Razor scooter westbound on 26th Avenue East when the Ford made a right turn onto westbound 26th Avenue East and the Ford's front hit the rear of the scooter which got caught in the car's undercarriage.

Witnesses told Troopers that the Ford drove to 3rd Street East and stopped. A man got out of the car and pulled the scooter out from under the car and afterward a woman drove from the scene.
The highway patrol is asking that anyone with information about the crash call Cpl. D.W. McInturff at 941-751-8355.
