De Soto National Memorial Invites Public to '13 Ghosts of Desoween'

The 13 Ghosts of Desoween event is set for Oct. 29.

Come if you dare, on October 29th from 7:30-10 p.m. for the 13 Ghosts of Desoween! Experience a unique haunted trail event for ages 7 and up. This event and all activities are free to the public. Visitors are encouraged to dress up, so try those costumes out before Halloween. Beware! The later the evening gets, the spookier the trail becomes. Desoween will feature:

13 of Florida’s Most Terrifying Ghosts— The De Soto Paranormal Investigation Agency has meticulously rounded up 13 of Florida’s most terrifying and ghastly. They have brought them here so you can view them from the safety of their protective grids. But what would happen if the power suddenly goes out, and the grids come down?

Family Friendly — all activities at Desoween are designed with a family atmosphere in mind. None of our scenes will depict gory or graphic events, but the supernatural nature and costumed actors can create a scary and intense experience. Our events are suitable for children and adults, but parents please use your best judgment when bringing younger children. Due to lights, sounds, and surprise situations all pets are prohibited from the trail excluding service animals.

Event admission and all activities are free. Event hours are 7:30pm to 10:00 pm. All activities are subject to change due to weather.

DeSoto National Memorial is located at: 8300 De Soto Memorial Hwy, Bradenton at the Northern terminus of 75th street West. I-75 exit 220 SR-64 Manatee Ave.
