Deputies Looking for Men Who Wounded Teen in Drive-By Shooting

Detectives are looking for four men in a black Saturn.

A 16-year-old was taken to the hospital today after he was shot twice in a drive-by shooting at 315 61st Ave. East.

Deputies are not identifying the minor who was hit by two bullets while sitting in front of his home. The teenager told detectives that he and a couple of friends were in front of his home just after noon when a black Saturn with four men drove by his house, according to a report from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The teenager said that as the Saturn accelerated past, someone from inside the car started shooting. The 16-year-old appeared to be the only victim, according to the sheriff's report. He was taken to Blake Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
