Dog Rescued From Hot, Locked Car: Bradenton Police
An officer smashed a window to help the dog who was locked in a hot car in 90-degree weather, Bradenton police said.

BRADENTON, FL — A dog was rescued from a locked, hot car Monday, the Bradenton Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.
The car wasn’t running and the windows were cracked less than an inch.
The dog seemed distressed and when an officer couldn’t find her owner, they smashed a window, police said.

The pup was given water and held in an air-conditioned patrol car until Manatee County Animal Services took custody of her.
“It was 90 degrees outside when officers rescued the pup,” police said. “In 90-degree weather, the temperature inside your vehicle can reach 109 degrees in 10 minutes and 124 degrees in 30 minutes.”
