Dogs Remains Stolen From Veterinary Hospital In Bradenton: Report
Bradenton Police are searching for a man who stole a freezer containing the remains of two dogs awaiting cremation.

BRADENTON, FL - Police are searching for a man who stole a freezer containing the remains of two dogs awaiting cremation. The freezer was outside Bradenton Veterinary Hospital and video surveillance captured the Monday night theft. The video shows a man in a dark-colored pickup truck driving into the parking lot about 10:20 p.m. Four minutes later, the truck drove away with the freezer in the back.
The freezer contained the remains of a 13-year-old Husky that recently died, the Bradenton Herald reported. The family had ordered a private cremation to get the ashes returned. The veterinary clinic keeps the freezer outside the business because crematory companies pick up after hours.
“It’s just left us in disbelief,” said Kathy Richardson, office manager at Bradenton Veterinary Hospital. “We were all like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me.’ The staff is flabbergasted. It’s just jaw dropping how someone could do this.”
