Fallen Bradenton Officers Remembered During National Police Week

National Police Week kicks off this week, with a remembrance virtually of fallen officers across the United States, including 762 in Florida.

The virtual national roll call includes two Bradenton Police officers who died in the line of duty, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page. The website includes a comprehensive, state-by-state list of fallen officers.

Patrolman Carl W. Cox died on Aug. 8, 1970.

Policeman Steve R. Bennett died on Feb. 5, 1934.
