Diners will be able to choose from menu items such as steakburgers, hot dogs and Philly cheesesteaks. The frozen custard comes in chocolate or vanilla flavor and is combined with hot fudge, brownies, carmel or fruits in a frozen treat called a "concrete."

Customers in Bradenton can also expect to see the Freddy's family get involved in local charity efforts, Jardin said.

"We want to make sure we help the community out, whether it's fundraisers, or whatever," Jardin said. "We want to be good neighbors."
