Gladiators Dominate Florida Football Alliance

The Bradenton Gladiators remain undefeated after a 22-7 win over the Broward Bears.

The Bradenton Gladiators remain undefeated after Saturday's game and despite some injuries are at the top of the Alliamce's West division.

The Gladiators Saturday night win put them 7-0 in the Florida Football Alliance league standings.  Only one other team, the Orlando Rage, is 7-0 in the standings. 

The Gladiators are fighting to overcome the many injuries, including pulled groins, sprained ankles, sprained wrist, a possible broken wrist from Saturday night's game, a severe ankle injury requiring surgery and finally a possible broken wrist from Saturday night's game. The team members have come together, some playing both sides, in their drive for the State Championship Title and the Ring.

Jeff Charlton was on fire Saturday night.

Charlton got the game started when he caught a pass to run for a 48 yard touchdown ending the first quarter 7-0. Again in the second quarter Jeff Charlton caught a pass for another touchdown but the 2 point conversion attempt failed ending the first half 13-0.

The Broward Bears Antwan Carter scored the only touchdown for the visiting team in the first three minutes of the second half. 

With 4 minutes left in the third quarter Chauncey Jones carried in the ball for a touchdown but the 2 point conversion attempt failed putting the score at 19-7.  Kicker TJ Grzesikowski scored a field goal ending the game: Gladiators 22 Bears 7.

There are only three more regular games left before the playoffs. The next game is at home against the Bay Area Warriors at 7 p.m. on the PAL home field.
