Green Bridge Shut Down In Both Directions

BRADENTON, FL — Police shut down the Green Bridge for a time on Monday afternoon. The bridge connects Bradenton and Palmetto.

The Bradenton Police Department said both directions of the bridge were shut down as police investigated a call.

"Please try to avoid the area if possible," Bradenton police said on social media late Monday afternoon. "We will open the bridge as soon as possible and send an update."

The bridge later reopened.
