Gunman Robs Waffle House in Bradenton

The armed man, who wore a black T-shirt covering his face, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, deputies said.

An armed man robbed a Waffle House early Wednesday in Bradenton, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

The suspect entered the restaurant, at 603 67th St. Cir. E. — near Interstate 75 and East State Road 64 — around 12:47 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money from the register, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect, who was about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, wore black clothing and a black T-shirt covering his face, and he was brandishing a firearm, witnesses said.

The man fled on foot, deputies said. A search came up empty.

The same Waffle House was robbed by two armed gunmen in March 2011, the sheriff's office reported.
