Isaac to Mostly Stay Offshore

The County has downgraded its emergency response.

Expect a rainy day as Tropical Storm Isaac passes offshore in the Gulf of Mexico.Islanders may see waves of up to 6 feet, but higher waves will remain offshore.

A tornado watch issued for Manatee County expired at 9 a.m.

The Manatee County Emergency Operations Center lowered its activation level at 8:30 a.m., meaning only a handful of county officials will remain at the Public Safety Center today. County Government Offices will reopen for business on Tuesday at 8 a.m.
