Kittens Abound at Manatee County Animal Services

Animal Network dropped off a new batch of kittens the organization has been fostering just in time for a day designed to honor the no-kill effort. All animals are available for $10 each.

Manatee County Animal Services will join a nationwide effort today to empty the shelters the right way. Adorable puppies, kittens, cats and dogs – all available for adoption – will put their best paw forward to encourage residents to open their hearts and homes and adopt.

Animal Services is hosting an adoption event where all of these puppies, kittens, cats and dogs are available for adoption for just $10 each. This adoption fee includes spay/neuter, health check, vaccinations, microchip and license certificate/tag. This adoption special will be available at both the Downtown Bradenton and Palmetto locations from 10 am to 4 pm. Our Palmetto address is 305 - 25th Street West; Downtown Bradenton address is 1002 B - Manatee Avenue West. For more information call 941-742-5933.

“Help us help the animals get out of the shelter and into their forever homes,” states Kris Weiskopf. “ If we all work together we can become a No Kill Community.”

Currently Manatee County Animal Services has kittens that were recently delivered from foster families with the Animal Netork. The tiny kittens were fostered in hiomes since birth and are now old enough to be available for adoption.

In U.S. animal shelters, a day represents 10,411 lives needlessly lost. To most people, June 11 is Just One Day. But, June 11 is a day that could change everything for 10,411 companion animals. If every shelter participated for one day the United States could become a No Kill Nation.
