Local Law Firm Collecting School Supplies For Area Children

Heintz & Becker are taking part in the national Injury Board Day of Action event.

Bradenton, FL – Every year, many children in Bradenton and Sarasota start the new school year without the most basic supplies needed to succeed in the classroom.

In an effort to help children in Manatee and Sarasota counties, the law firm of Heintz & Becker will host a school supply drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast.

“As a firm, we are dedicated to giving back to the local community and helping those in need,” said Steven E. Heintz. “We are truly honored to be part of this nationwide day of action to help support and improve the well-being of children and families during difficult times.”

The effort is part of the Injury Board Day of Action, a nationwide community outreach event. The IB Day of Action brings together more than 100 plaintiffs’ lawyer firms from across the country, all working for the same cause on the same day.

On Aug. 4, Bigs and Littles from Big Brothers Big Sisters will visit Heintz & Becker to collect pencils, paper, backpacks, calculators and other supplies that children in the area need most for the new school year. The firm will collect donations until Aug. 3. Some of the most needed supplies include:

  • 3-inch three-ring binders
  • Calculators
  • Graph paper
  • College- and regular-rule notebooks
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Construction paper
  • Highlighters
  • Markers
  • Crayons

Donations can be dropped off at Heintz & Becker office, 905 Sixth Ave. W. in Bradenton between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
