Man, 25, Dies After Water Rescue
A 25-year-old man pulled from water near the Sandbar restaurant in Anna Maria Thursday afternoon has died.

ANNA MARIA, FL — A 25-year-old man who was pulled from waters near the Sandbar restaurant on Thursday afternoon, has died, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Joseph S. Teston was rescued from the water by witnesses who saw him in peril around 3:15 p.m. June 8, the sheriff's office reported in an email to media. The witnesses, who have not been identified, began lifesaving measures after getting the man out of the water and onto the beach near Spring Lane.
Teston was taken to a local hospital in critical condition shortly after the near-drowning, authorities reported late Thursday night. On Friday morning, Teston’s death was announced by the agency.

The incident, authorities say, appears to be accidental.
