Man Arrested on Two Charges of Attempted Murder
The man is charged with shooting two people at the Siesta Inn Motel
Manatee County Deputies arrested a man on two counts of attempted murder after responding to a shooting call to the Siesta Inn and Suites.
Once they arrived deputies found Michael Ploetz, 24, in one of the rooms suffering from a gun shot wound.
Deputies arrested Daniel Spann, 28, at the motel. Spann was accused of shooting Ploetz during an argument at the , 2303 1st St. E. Ploetz was taken to Blake Hospital at about 10:30 p.m. for treatment of the gunshot wound. His condition is unknown at this time.

Spann is also charged with shooting at Keith McCarty, 22. McCarty was not injured.
