Man Charged in His Wife's Death

A 39-year-old Bradenton man was arrested on murder charges this afternoon after his wife's body was discovered inside their Bayshore Gardens house, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Alisa June Hartmann, 38, was found dead at about 11:45 a.m. at 2105 Harvard Ave. Her body showed signs of blunt force trauma.  According to reports, her husband Nicholas Hartmann arrived at the location shortly after noon.

Deputies said that Hartmann made some statements at the house about his wife's death. He was then taken into custody and is being questioned further about his involvement in her death. He was then taken into custody questioned further before he was charged with murder.

Deputies didn't immediately find any calls to the house for any recent domestic violence before today. The Sheriff's Office is asking that anyone with information about the case call the Sheriff’s Office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
