When a deputy approached Buick's vehicle he realized that the driver was impaired. He asked Buick to get out of the vehicle and Buick became verbally abusive toward the deputy. That's when the deputy arrested Buick and had to force him to get into the back of the patrol car after he refused.

Buick was taken to the Manatee County jail and while he was being taken out of the car, he kicked the rear passenger door frame of the vehicle bending it outward and causing about $1,000 in damage.
