Man Hit By Car, Killed While Crossing Street In Bradenton: FHP
A man died after being hit by a car while crossing U.S. 41 in Bradenton Saturday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
BRADENTON, FL — A man was killed after being hit by a car while crossing a street in Bradenton Saturday night, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The 45-year-old Bradenton man was trying to cross the southbound lanes of U.S. 41, south of 51st Avenue Drive West, around 10:30 p.m. when he walked into the path of a car.
He was hit by the car, driven by a 27-year-old Sarasota man, FHP said.

The pedestrian was killed at the scene while the driver suffered minor injuries.
