Man Pulls Gun in Parking Lot of Spin City

The suspect used the gun to rob a man sitting in a pick-up.

Three men sitting in a pick-up in front of Spin City Sweepstakes, 3304 1st St. W., were held up at gunpoint shortly before midnight Wednesday.

Two of the men, John Wingate, who was driving, and Keith Cummings, had  parked in front of Spin City Sweepstakes to pick up their friend, Ryan Bing. Just after Bing got in to the pick-up, a red Ford Ranger pulled up and the suspect got out of the vehicle.

The suspect went over to the open driver’s window of Wingate’s truck and pointed a gun at Wingate. The man told Wingate to give him his money.

Wingate handed the gunman his wallet. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and threw the wallet back in to the cab of Wingate’s truck.

The suspect, described as a white man in his mid 20’s with short black hair and a goatee, fled northbound on First Street and could not be located. He was armed with a black handgun and driving a red Ford Ranger with damage to the tailgate.
