FL Man Shot Nephew During Argument
An argument over the phone between a man and his nephew escalated into a shooting at a Bradenton apartment, the sheriff's office said.
BRADENTON, FL — A 52-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning after shooting his nephew, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Marceleno Rosa was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Rosa and his 39-year-old nephew had an argument over the phone that escalated into a physical altercation at the La-Mirada Garden Apartments in the 1600 block of 55th Avenue Circle East around 10:40 a.m.

During the argument, he got a gun and fired a single round at his nephew, hitting him on the right side of the pelvic area, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies detained Rosa when they arrived and secured the gun used in the shooting.

His nephew was brought to a local hospital where he is in stable condition.
