Marauders Host Cardinals In Crucial South Division Showdown

Outdoors night, Trash to Treasure and fireworks highlight home stand

The Bradenton Marauders host the Palm Beach Cardinals for a three-game series this weekend as the two teams are locked in a tight race for a playoff berth.

The series kicks off Friday with "Outdoors Night" presented by Wild Wild West Western Wear and featuring all things country. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will be on hand with information about local state parks.

After the game, fans can enjoy country music and compete to see who can ride a mechanical bull the longest. All Marauders’ Friday home games are Happy Hour Fridays presented by Pier 22 Restaurant with free hot dogs and drink specials from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and provided by Kayem and Cheney Brothers.

Saturday is “Trash to Treasure” hosted by Junk King. Fans who bring a formerly treasured item they are prepared to part with will be entered in a contest to determine the most unique item, with the winner receiving a Bradenton Marauders ten ticket flex pack and an autographed Alex Dickerson baseball.

After the contest fans who submit an item will be able to pick one of the other submitted items to take home. Gold Coast Eagle Distributing and Bells Fireworks Company will offer post-game fireworks.

The games on Friday and Saturday will begin at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. All Sunday home games start at 5 p.m. with gates opening at 4 p.m.

Sunday is a Bob Evans Fun Day. Fans 13 and younger will receive a free meal voucher and have the opportunity to run the bases after the game.

Fans with unredeemed complimentary ticket vouchers from the rainout on July 22 may redeem the vouchers for general admission tickets to the game on August 5. Fans 13 and younger using complimentary general admission ticket vouchers to attend the game must pay for the $2 upgrade to a reserved seat to receive a Bob Evans Fun Day Sunday meal voucher.
