McDonald's Robbery Attempt Comes Up Empty

There was no money in the cash register when three men dressed in black tried to rob the Bradenton restaurant Tuesday morning, deputies said.

A robbery attempt at a Bradenton McDonald's came up empty when the three suspects realized there was no money in the cash register, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at the restaurant at 3631 Cortez Rd. W., when deputies say three young men dressed in black entered. One of them, who wore a camouflage bandana, demanded cash from the register while he had his hand in his pocket, "giving the impression he was armed," a sheriff's report said.

The suspects didn't get any money though, as the cash register was empty.
