Patch Puppies to Experience Dog Days

De Soto National Memorial is hosting Dog Days at De Soto today and the latest litter of Patch Puppies will be there.

Now that they're nearly 7 weeks old, the puppies are ready for adoption to a good home.

Of course there are much more than dog adoptions. stop bu Manatee County's no-kill booth and learn about the county's efforts to transition to a county where animals are adopted rather than killed when they come into the animal shelter. Efforts include a spay neuter program designed to help people find surgeries at low and no costs.

There will also be representatives from Bishop Animal Shelter and the Manatee Humane Society. Children will enjoy visiting the ‘reading fur fun’ nook hosted by the Humane Society of Sarasota, here kids can snuggle up to a canine pal and read aloud from books on hand.

De Soto National Memorial will host Dog Days at De Soto on Saturday March 10^th from 10am - 3pm. Visitors are encouraged to leash up their dogs and join us for a day filled with activities, demonstrations, and information promoting safe and healthy dogs. We have invited several partners who will share information about what their organizations do to support man’s best friend.
