Police: Bradenton Man Stabbed Himself After Wife's Slaying
Sean Mudgett is expected to survive after turning the knife on himself, Bradenton Police said.

A Bradenton man was found stabbing himself as his wife was dying of stab wounds in their home Wednesday night, police said.
Officers found Sean Mudgett stabbing himself and his wife suffering from life threatening stab wounds when they arrived at their home in the 2000 block of St. George Drive East just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday following a 911 call, officials said.
Karen Mudgett was pronounced dead about an hour later at a local hospital.

Sean Mudgett was taken into custody and treated at a local hospital, where he is in intensive care but expected to survive, according to Bradenton Police.
The investigation is still ongoing.
