Riverwalk Splash Pad Closing For Repairs

Bradenton area kids will need to find a new place to cool off for a few days.

BRADENTON, FL — Bradenton area families with plans to let the kids cool off at Riverwalk’s splash pad will be out of luck for a few days. The city on Tuesday announced the popular attraction is closing for repairs.

The minor repairs are expected to be completed by June 27, but the attraction must be closed for at least 48 hours to dry, an email from the city said. Weather permitting, the splash pad will reopen on Friday.

Riverwalk is a 1.5-mile stretch that sits between the Green and DeSoto bridges. The park is open 24 hours a day and features a great lawn, a dock that overlooks the Manatee River, a fishing pier, an amphitheater and the Family Fun Zone, among other draws.
