Sarasota Man Dies After Crashing Into Concrete Wall: FL Highway Patrol
A Sarasota man died in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Manatee County, FL Highway Patrol said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A 57-year-old Sarasota man died Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash in Manatee County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
He was driving north in the outside lane of U.S. 41, south of Scale Avenue, when he lost control of his car around 8:30 p.m.
He traveled into the northbound right turn lane and onto the grassy shoulder, continuing north as he crossed over Scale Avenue.

He hit a stop sign before crashing into a concrete retaining wall, causing his car to overturn onto its roof, FHP said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Sarasota County EMS.
