Scooter Driver in Critical Condition After Being Hit By Two Vehicles
The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a silver Nissan that hit the victim and then sped away.
A 47-year-old Sarasota woman is in critical condition after her scooter was hit by a driver from behind and she was thrown from the vehicle and then run over by another driver who sped away.
Victoria Mann was riding her scooter along U.S. 301 just south of Whitfield when Jubal Gordon, 26, who was driving a Toyota failed to slow down and struck Mann from behind. Mann was thrown from the scooter. A car traveling behind the Toyota was unable to stop and struck Mann.
The driver who hit Mann sped off. Troopers are searching for a woman who was driving a silver Nissan. Gordon, of Sarasota, was charged with careless driving.

The Florida Highway Patrol is asking that anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has any information about the hit and run call the agency at 239-938-1800.
