Six Dogs Rescued From Bradenton House Fire
Roofers working in the area noticed smoke billowing from a house on Palma Sola Boulevard.
Six dogs were rescued from a house fire on Palma Sola Boulevard in Bradenton last week after roofers noticed smoking pouring from the burning home, according to firefighters.
On Friday, May 17, roofers noticed smoke pouring from the chimney of a house on the 1100 block of Palma Sola Bouelvard and ran over to the property, according to the West Manatee Fire & Rescue District.
By the time they arrived, smoke was billowing from the eaves of the house. The roofers called 911 for help, with West Manatee Fire & Rescue, Bradenton Fire Department and Manatee County EMS responding to the scene.

The fire was put out within minutes. A quick search of the residence revealed that no one was home at the house, but six dogs were rescued. One dog was treated for severe smoke inhalation and transported to a local veterinarian by Manatee County Animal Services.
The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen area and is still under investigation. Estimated damage to the home and its contents is $120,000.
