Suspect in Gas Station Killing Caught in NYC

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested the suspect in New York for a fatal shooting at a Shell Gas Station.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested a suspect wanted on murder charges for a fatal shooting at a in April.

Deputies have been searching for Earl Scott, 32, in a 3:20 a.m. shooting the that left Ruben Harris, 29, dead. The U.S, Marshals office arrested Scott this morning.

Detectives believe Harris and Scott were involved in an altercation at , 105 Cortez Rd W., earlier that morning and that may have led to the shooting.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant  for Scott on charges of murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in May. At this time, it’s unknown when Scott will be returned to Manatee County.
