Suspect in Shooting Death Faced Two Previous Murder Charges
The 26-year-old suspect now faces a first-degree murder charge, after a fatal shooting at a Bradenton apartment complex.

A 26-year-old man charged with murder in connection to a Bradenton apartment complex shooting has a history of 29 arrests, including two murder charges that did not lead to convictions, the Bradenton Herald reports.
The first-degree murder charge against Jerry Wayne Green involves the April 1 fatal shooting of Carlos Albert Jurado at Sheridan Place Apartments, 302 26th Ave. W., police said.
Jurado was in a parking area at the complex when he was shot several times.

According to the Herald, Police Chief Michael Radzilowski said that homicide detectives have enough evidence for a third try at prosecuting Green on a murder charge.

- Murder charge in the death of 25-year-old Christopher Jenkins at Club Nitros in Palmetto in April 2007. Prosecutors dropped the charge, after a key witness refused to cooperate.
- Murder charge in the April 2009 shooting death of 20-year-old Alex Dawson, killed outside his home, on the 1500 block of 10th Street West. A jury found Green not guilty in 2011.
- Multiple firearm-related charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm, in an incident that occurred in January 2013 in St. Petersburg. Green is due in court in Pinellas County on May 28.
- Charge of resisting arrest in Manatee County on April 10. Green was clocked driving as fast as 124 mph on U.S. 301 through Sarasota and Manatee counties before deputies eventually caught him hiding in a child's bedroom at a Bradenton home. His court date is May 14.
