Suspect in Sweetbay Robbery Arrested

Manatee County detectives arrested a suspect in the Sweetbay Robbery today after someone in the public came forward with information about the robbery suspect.

Jonnathan Bass, 28, was arrested in charges of armed robbery. According to Manatee County Sheriff's Reports, Bass robbed the of an undisclosed number of oxycodone pills using a box cutter as a weapon Monday afternoon.

According to the report, Bass jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded Oxycodone pills. He took the Oxycodone and fled the store in a Dodge truck.  Detectives were booking Bass into the jail Tuesday evening.

According to court records, Bass has been arrested on felony charges three times since 2004. Charges include possession of a controlled substance, starting in 2004. He has also been arrested on a number of misdemeanor and traffic charges.
