Teenage Shooting Victim Dies
The 17-year old was shot in the head. Bradenton detectives are gathering information about this homicide.

A 17-year-old who was shot in the head Saturday night has died.
Fredrick L. Edwards, of Bradenton, was taken to the hospital Saturday night with a gunshot wound to the head. He died over the weekend and the case has been classified as a homicide.
Bradenton police answered an emergency call about a shooting shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of 2nd Avenue East. When they arrived, officers discovered that the victim had been taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital's Emergency Room and that an unidentified person had dropped off the victim and then left the hospital.
