Teenager Critical After Being Shot in the Head

Police are searching for information in the case.

UPDATE: Bradenton police are no longer searching for Kwame J. Henri, 21, of Bradenton.

Bradenton police officers are looking for information in a shooting that left one teenager in critical condition Saturday night with a gunshot wound to the head.

Bradenton police answered an emergency call shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of 2nd Street East that a person had been shot. When they arrived, officers discovered that the victim had been taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital's Emergency Room and that an unidentified person had dropped off the victim and then run away.

Bradenton Police are trying to find Kwame J. Henri, 21, of Bradenton because he may have information regarding this crime. They are also asking for the public's help in finding Henri and providing information about the shooting.

Police officers who were called out to the scene of the shooting detained three people at the scene. They were all interviewed. Police arrested Keith V. Brooks, 21, on an outstanding bench warrant out of Sarasota County for failure to appear in court for a traffic case.
