Urban Flood Advisory for Bradenton

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Bradenton, keep children away from rushing waters and avoid driving through deep puddles.

The National Weater Service in Ruskin has issued an Urban Flood Advisory for Western Manatee County, including the City of Bradenton.

The flood advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. today. At 9 a.m. doppler radar indicated rainfall rates of two inches per hour. The rainfall is associated with the morning's thuderstorns and the weather service said flooding is occurring or imminent.

Urban flood warnings include, keep children away from flooded ditches and drains because they can be swept away. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear and may stall your vehicle. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep a vehicle off of the road.
