FL Woman Admits To Setting Boyfriend’s Car On Fire, Nearly Burning Down Their Home
A Bradenton woman was arrested for setting her boyfriend's car on fire Monday night and nearly burning down their apartment, police said.
BRADENTON, FL — A 38-year-old Bradenton woman was arrested Monday night after torching her boyfriend’s car and nearly burning down their home, authorities said. (Watch a video from the scene below.)
Natasha Killebrew was charged with arson and violation of probation, Bradenton police said.
Bradenton firefighters and officers responded to a blaze on 9th Street W. just before 8:30 p.m., and found a car engulfed in flames and the fire spreading to a nearby apartment.

Witnesses told investigators that they saw Killebrew near the burning car.

The suspect was at the scene when officers arrived and told them that she lives with her boyfriend in the damaged apartment and that the car belonged to him.
Initially, Killebrew denied starting the fire, then later claimed she had thrown a lit cigarette near the car, police said.
She changed her story again, telling officers she doused herself and the car in cooking oil and tried to set herself on fire, investigators said. There were no burn marks on Killebrew or her clothing.
She was arrested and booked into Manatee County Jail.
