Woody's to Host Spare Rib Eating Contest

Who wouldn't want to sign up to compete in a contest when you get an “I’m a Total Pig!” t-shirt wihtout even taking a top three spot?

You can get this t-shirt just for entering the 5th Annual Spare Rib Eating Contest at on Saturday. Dozens of competitors will sit down in front of trays piled high with slow-smoked spare ribs to see who can et the most ribs in 10 minutes flat.

The winner will receive — what else? — a $100gift card for more ribs!

Fair warning, last year’s statewide champion downed an amazing 38 spare ribs by the time the final bell rang.

The contest begins at noon on Saturday. Vegetarians and those who like to chew their food can show up to watch.
