145th Avenue Closes to Traffic for Gas Line Fix

Building evacuated while crews worked. No injuries were reported.

The stretch of 145th Avenue from 46th to 49th streets reopened to traffic after being closed for crews fixing a gas leak.

A contractor reportedly caused the leak when it hit a four inch gas line at the Sheriff's Office Property and Evidence building at 4707 145th Ave N in unincorporated Clearwater, according to Sheriff's deputies. The building was evacuated and no injuries reported.

The road reopened around 2:40 p.m. and people were able to return to the building.
