Five Things to Know Today

3. Already two sea turtle nests have been cordoned off (one on Clearwater Beach and another on Caladesi Island) since the season started May 1. There were 21 loggerhead turtle nests along Clearwater beaches in 2011, . Each nest can contain up to 110 eggs. Make sure if you live at the beach to keep your lights off to help nesting turtles.
