Traffic Updates: Lights Out, Some Roads Barricaded

Traffic lights at Ruth Eckerd Hall Drive and McMullen Booth Road are out, and traffic is restricted on Old Coachman Road and several other streets.

The City of Clearwater's Public Safety office had a few important updates for commuters Monday morning in the wake of Tropical Storm Debby.

Traffic lights at Ruth Eckerd Hall Drive and McMullen Booth Road are out due to an area power outage. Progress Energy is working to restore power, city spokesperson Elizabeth Watts said.

Barricades have also been put up to restrict traffic:

  • Northbound and southbound on Old Coachman Road, just south of the narrow bridge, due to street flooding.
  • Eastbound and westbound on East Enterprise Road, east of Frisco Drive, due to street flooding.
  • At the intersection of Chestnut Street and South Fort Harrison Avenue. Traffic is restricted eastbound, just west of the intersection, and southbound on the southeast corner because of a depression in the roadway.
