1 Killed, 1 Critically Injured In Aventura

AVENTURA, FL — One person was killed and another was in critical condition on Sunday while a third was taken into custody following an altercation in the parking lot of a Winn Dixie grocery store in Aventura.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m., according to Sgt. Sergeant Chris Goranitis of the Aventura Police Department.

"It appears that all three individuals knew each other in some manner prior to this incident," Goranitis said on Sunday. "There were no bystanders, or other individuals injured as a result of this inciden,t and no safety concerns in the area as a result of this incident."

The parking grocery store parking lot is located in the Promenade Shoppes at 20355 Biscayne Blvd.
