2 Coral Gables Police Officers Test Positive For Coronavirus
The Coral Gables Police Department said Friday that two of its police officers tested positive for the new coronavirus.

CORAL GABLES, FL —The Coral Gables Police Department said Friday that two of its police officers tested positive for the new coronavirus just one day after the Miami Police Department reported two of its officers tested positive.
Coral Gables Police Chief Edward J. Hudak announced the positive tests of his officers in a statement.
"As our screening protocols dictated, they were both in isolation prior to

Hudak said his agency is following CDC guidelines and continuing to screen officers and staff daily as they begin their shifts.
"I am in contact with our officers daily and they are in good spirits while on the mend from this virus," Hudak said. "This department will continue working with our employees to stop the
spread of this virus, amongst ourselves here at the department as well as to the other fellow employees and general public."

Miami Police Chief Jorge Colina said his infected officers were placed in self-quarantine immediately upon reporting symptoms. He said the officers were then tested.
